FamHero

Built by a dad, for families

Hi, I'm a dad of two. I built FamHero because I needed it — and I figured other families did too. This isn't a startup pitch. It's the app I wished existed.

The family chaos we all know

Every evening was the same battle. 'Did you do your chores?' met with eye-rolls. Shared calendars nobody checked. Allowance tracked on sticky notes that vanished. Apps that promised to help but felt like corporate software — kids opened them once and never came back.

What I really wanted

I didn't want another app to manage my family. I wanted my kids to actually want to help out. To feel proud when they finished their chores, excited to earn rewards, and motivated to build habits that would stick long after they left home. I wanted to stop nagging and start celebrating.

Why gamification actually works

Gamification isn't a gimmick — it's the bridge between 'I have to' and 'I want to.' When responsibility feels like a quest and rewards feel earned, something shifts. Kids stop resisting and start owning their contributions. That's not a trick. That's how habits form naturally.

Effort → reward → habit → character

Our mission & values

Helping families work together — not just managing tasks, but building a home where everyone contributes, grows, and feels like they belong.

  • Family togetherness over task management
  • Responsibility through fun, not force
  • Effort → reward → habit → character
  • Every family member matters, from toddlers to teens
  • Honest and simple — no hidden fees, no dark patterns

What we're building

FamHero brings everything your family needs into one place — a shared calendar, chore charts with built-in rewards, meal planning, grocery lists, allowance tracking, and quests that turn responsibility into adventure.
